14 -16 May 2027
Next May, the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway turns the clock back once again as the 1940s return to the Worth Valley for another weekend of steam, swing and wartime spirit.
From 14 to 16 May 2027, the railway will come alive with vintage music, dancing, reenactors, military displays, classic vehicles and plenty of Yorkshire merriment along the line. Expect bustling stations, steaming locomotives, packed platforms and the sights and sounds of Britain’s wartime railway brought back to life.
Whether you’re dressing head-to-toe in 1940s fashion, hopping aboard for a ride behind a steam train, enjoying a pint while the bands play, or simply soaking up the atmosphere, there’ll be something happening at every stop along the railway.
So polish your brogues, press your uniforms and save the date… the 1940s are steaming back into the Worth Valley.
